Summer Reading

Build a Better World: Summer Reading 2017

The 2017 edition of our annual summer reading program ended July 28. Check back in the spring for information specific to Summer Reading 2018.

Each summer, we offer three reading programs for youth from birth to grade 12: Baby Bookworms, Kids Read, and Teens Read. Kids and teens win prizes as they track the number of days they read at least 20 minutes, while babies do early literacy activities.

Baby Bookworms

Infants & toddlers, birth through age 2

Kids Read

Children aged 3 through entering grade 5

Teens Read

Students entering grades 6-12

Did you know students can lose 2 months of reading achievement in the summer if they don't keep their mind sharp? Help us build a better world of strong readers by encouraging your child to read regularly through the school break!

Summer Teen Volunteers

The Library's summer reading program would not be possible without the help of dedicated teen volunteers! Information about the summer teen volunteer program will become available in March.
