Get ready to blast off into a universe of stories! The 2019 Summer Reading Program begins May 28. The Wichita Public Library is your one-stop shop for out-of-this-world learning and exploring all summer long!
Each summer, we offer three reading programs for youth from birth to 12th grade:
Kids Read, and
Teens Read. Kids and teens win prizes as they track the number of days they read at least 20 minutes, while infants complete early literacy activities.
Ages 2 and under
It's never too early to start reading to your child. From May 28-July 19, sign up at any Wichita Public Library location to get started on an early learning activity log with fun ideas for talking, singing, reading and playing with your little one. These activities emphasize skills that can help your child develop before they learn to read. Complete 15 activities to earn fun prizes!
Ages 3 - 5th grade
