Important Dates in Sedgwick County

July 13 was the last day to register to vote in the August Primary Election.

Primary Election: August 3, 2021

  • July 19-August 2: Early voting at the Sedgwick County Election Office
  • July 23: Last day for the Election Office to mail advance voting ballot applications
  • July 27: Last day advance ballot applications can be accepted for the Primary Election
  • July 29-31: Early voting at satellite sites around the county
  • August 3: Primary Election
  • August 12 9 a.m.: Canvass of Primary Election. Election results are certified.
  • August 13, 5 p.m.: Deadline to request a recount.

General Election: November 2, 2021

  • September 1: Deadline for submission of questions to be placed on the General Election ballot
  • October 12: Last day to register to vote in the General Election
  • October 13: The Sedgwick County Election Office begins mailing advance ballots for the General Election
  • October 18-November 1: Early voting at the Sedgwick County Election Office
  • October 22: Last day for the Election Office to mail advance voting ballot applications
  • October 26: Last day advance ballot applications can be accepted for the General Election
  • October 28-30: Early voting at satellite sites around the county
  • November 2: General Election
  • November 12, 9 a.m.: Canvass of General Election. Election results are certified.
  • November 13, 5 p.m.: Deadline to request a recount.
