AV Studio

Digital equipment in the AV Studio

Whether it's recording a podcast, editing a social media video for your startup, or experimenting with music, the Advanced Learning Library's AV Studio has the equipment and software you need. Designed for individuals and small groups, this free-to-use audiovisual recording and editing space is reserved on a first-come/first-served basis beginning one week before the desired date.

To reserve the AV Studio, contact the Advanced Learning Library or use the online reservation system. If you have not used the reservation system before, it will require you to create an account to manage your reservations. The reservation system is not linked to your library card.

Using the AV Studio

  • One three-hour reservation may be scheduled per day. Shorter reservations, if available, may be made.
  • If you're below 14 years of age, you must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • A Wichita Public Library borrower's card is required to reserve the room. The library card must be in good standing. There is no charge for a reservation, but the person(s) reserving the room is responsible for damage to the AV Studio and equipment.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the AV Studio, except for water in a covered container.
  • You may bring your own equipment, including musical instruments. Amplifiers are not allowed.
  • All video, audio, and other personal files will be removed after every session. We recommend saving your work to a personal device such as a USB flash drive or portable hard drive.
