Beginning Tuesday, May 26, Wichita Public Library locations will reopen with limited in-person services. The Library is following guidance from the City, County, State and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention regarding best safety practices for customers and staff.
NOTE: The following information pertains to all Wichita Public Library locations except for the Linwood Park Branch. The Linwood Park Branch, located inside the Linwood Recreation Center, will remain closed to the public but will continue offering curbside pickup service for materials.
The first hour of operation Monday-Saturday at each location will be reserved for vulnerable populations. This includes seniors, pregnant women, individuals with compromised immune systems and other at-risk populations.

If you would like to check items out, you can place them on hold through the online catalog. You can also call (316) 261-8500 during regular business hours for staff assistance. Notifications will be sent once your holds are available for pickup. Hold fees will be waived for items picked up by May 23.
Curbside service is offered at the Angelou Northeast, Evergreen, Linwood, Rockwell, and Westlink branch libraries. Drive-up windows are located at the Advanced Learning Library and the Alford branch.
Items checked out prior to March 17 are now due on June 1. Please use materials drops for items being returned to the Library. Employees will not accept in-person returns at this time. Materials may remain on your account up to four days after returning them for safe handling. No additional fees will be accrued.
