Impact Survey

Due to technical difficulties, the survey has not yet started. We appreciate your willingness to answer our questions. Please check back later.

We want to know how you use technology at Library locations. From April 1-19, the Impact Survey will be your chance to let Library staff know how to better accommodate your technology needs.

The survey has not started

What is the Impact Survey?

The Impact Survey is a survey tool created by the University of Washington with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help libraries determine how customers are using library technology and services. Libraries across the country have used this tool, including Wichita Public Library in 2014 and 2016.

How will my answers be used?

We want to learn about how people in the community use and benefit from our technology resources and services. We also want to know how we can improve, which is why we have used this survey to develop our technology strategies and facilities planning. Some of the changes we have implemented following suggestions for improvement include:

  • Increased number of electrical outlets available for laptops and other devices
  • Addition of faxing, scanning, and color photocopying services
  • Increased number and variety of technology classes
  • Increased number of public computer stations
  • Improved internet speed
